The iconic Blue Note Jazz Festival is back for its 14th edition, running from May 27 to July 2, 2025, at top venues across New York City. This year’s festival promises an unforgettable musical experience, featuring 40 incredible artists spanning genres from jazz, soul, and hip-hop to funk, rock, and everything in between. Notably, the festival will be headlined by a once-in-a-lifetime collaboration between Grace Jones and Janelle Monáe, bringing together two powerhouse performers in one unmissable show.
Throughout the festival’s 5-week span, attendees will enjoy a diverse range of performances across eight renowned venues, including Blue Note, Sony Hall, SummerStage in Central Park, BRIC’s Celebrate Brooklyn, The Town Hall, and National Sawdust. Expect 64 concerts showcasing top talent and exciting collaborations.
The festival kicks off on May 27 with a 100th birthday celebration for jazz legend James Moody at Sony Hall, featuring a lineup of jazz greats like Randy Brecker, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Christian McBride.
Notable performances during the festival include appearances from Branford Marsalis, Marcus Miller, Santigold, Savion Glover, The Soul Rebels, Azymuth, and many others. Kenny Garrett, Emily King, and Chuck Prophet & Cumbia Shoes will also make their mark on the festival, while Azymuth and Rebirth Brass Band are set to bring their distinct sounds to the stage.
The lineup further includes special performances such as the “Forever Ray” tribute, and the highly anticipated performances by Warren G with Chris Rob, Louie Vega & The Elements of Life, and more.
