Those of you who are teaching courses on Jazz might wish to consider using a close reading approach with one or more of the Readers.
You can develop and assign questions to which the students seek out answers in some of the articles and interviews in the Readers and then discuss them together in class.Â
These answers can also serve as points-of-departure for you to use to bring in supplemental material about the artist.
